During the Lotus Lantern Workshop, Sifu shared the story about a poor woman offering an oil lamp — in the time of the Buddha, there was a poor woman who sacrificed her hair in exchange for an oil lamp. Her pure and sincere vow kept the light burning and even earned her an assurance of attaining Buddhahood. This story encouraged everyone about the incredible power of vows.
Even just pasting lotus petals with blessings in mind could help cultivate good affinities with the others and accumulate merit, which is truly admirable!
