Originally from Lithuania, Myong Hae Sunim JDPS devoted more than twenty years of her life to Hong Kong, playing an instrumental role in the growth of Su Bong Zen Monastery and Gak Su Temple, and guiding countless people to the Dharma through Zen practice.
On the seventh anniversary of her passing, the Hong Kong Su Bong Sangha extends our heartfelt gratitude to the Lithuanian Sangha and to her family. We also remember Myong Hae Sunim with deep love, gratitude, and appreciation.
Her unwavering dedication to kong-an practice, her radiant smile, and the many creative and skillful ways she guided practitioners through kong-ans will forever remain in our hearts.
With profound gratitude and respect, we honour the life, practice, and legacy of Myong Hae Sunim JDPS. May her compassion, wisdom and dedication continue to inspire generations of practitioners. 💖
